Mudhoney occurs as grunge band, formed in Seattle in 1988. the band is known as when a Russ Meyer movie.

It was formed while Mark Arm left Green River, and joined higher by having previous Green Flow of any stream bandmate Steve Turner. Turner experienced left a band prior to Arm, however two left for similar reasons. It were joined by drummer Dan Peters, and previous Melvins bass player Matt Lukin (replaced in 2001 by Guy Maddison formerly of Lubricated Goat).

Mudhoney was an inspiratiin & influence on numerous musicians, including Kurt Cobain. Its career is chronicled inside Our Band Could Be Your Life, a survey of many crucial Western underground rock groups. These are said that it coined a term 'soil' & a bit of argue that it were a foremost filth band.

Around 1996, Mudhoney appeared in the comedy flick Black Sheep, starring Chris Farley and David Spade. Mudhoney was shown swimming at the MTV concert then speaking by using Farley backstage.
